RCON Beta is open, with kill feed

RCON Beta is a second console you can switch on in your browser. The live kill feed names both players, the weapon and the distance. Older stats are not rebuilt.

RCON Beta is a second console you can turn on in your own browser. Default RCON stays where it is. On any server, including the demo, use the button in the top right to switch between them. Beta keeps the same tools. The navigation is shorter, and the map controls sit under the map instead of in a long side rail.

Open the demo from the RCON page if you want to click around before you point it at a real server. Nothing in the demo reaches a live machine.

Live kill feed

A server owner can turn the live kill feed on from that server's RCON settings. You do not paste a config block. The game then sends each kill to the Console.

A kill line names both players in their faction colors, the weapon in gold, and the distance in white. A headshot is written out when the game says it was one. A same-side kill is marked team kill.

Joins, leaves, and the score still come from the player list. The game still does not send chat.

What this does to stats

Kills, deaths, cash, and time on the public boards are still samples, about once a minute, from community servers whose owners have tracking on. A gap between samples can still miss a change. These are not official career totals, and matches on other servers are not included.

The feed is separate. If that server already tracks stats, only kills from the moment you turn the feed on are given a weapon, a distance, and a headshot. Older totals are not rebuilt. Top weapons stay empty until a new kill arrives.

Suspicious activity

The player list still only has running totals, so the kill-rate watcher is unchanged. It still only raises a suggestion. It does not kick, kill, or ban anyone.

When the feed is on, Suspicious activity also shows the last 30 minutes of feed kills: headshot share, team kills, the longest kill, and the weapon used most. A team kill is counted only when both players have a Steam ID and were last seen on the same side. If the side is unknown, it is not called a team kill.

Demo only

On the demo, the team-kill rules are on so you can see them. The first team kill warns that player in chat. The second kills them on the next life. The third bans them for 1 hour. Those are pretend players. A real server does not do this yet.
