Wardogs Now now runs on a new foundation. The whole site, the RCON console, the stats pages, the server and community directories, news and support, all moved to a new framework this week. It is built to be quicker, easier to keep running, and easier to add to.
Everything you use is still at the same address, and your account, your communities, your servers, your stats and your RCON desks came across as they were.
You are signed out once
Because the sign-in store is new, everyone was signed out one time. Sign in again with Discord or Steam and you are back where you left off.
What is different
- Faster pages. Server lists, the stats boards and the community pages answer quicker than before.
- Search that suggests. The search box now offers suggestions as you type, across servers, communities, players and news.
- Server pages that stay current. Player counts on a server page refresh on their own while you watch.
- Joining a community is one step. Press "Ask to join the roster", then wait for a community owner to approve you. Approved members appear on the roster.
- A proper editor for support tickets. Write with bold, lists, quotes, code and links, and paste a screenshot straight into the message. Drafts are kept in your browser until you send them.
- RCON runs natively. The console, the ban log and the live kill feed run on the new framework too.
What was retired
We took the chance to remove what was heavy or not being used.
- The Armory is retired. It was the heaviest part of the site and saw little use.
- Community live chat, threads, polls, looking for group and operations are retired. They were empty.
- The light and dark switch in the footer is retired.
This is a beta phase release
A change this big will have rough edges. We would rather hear about them from you than guess. If something looks wrong, does not load, or behaves differently from before, tell us.
How to report a bug or ask for a feature
Use the support ticket system. It is the one place we read everything.
- Sign in and open Support.
- Choose Website problem for a bug, or Suggestion for a feature request. Use Server and RCON, Community or Account when it fits better.
- Say what you did, what you expected and what happened. Add the page address and a screenshot if you can.
We read every ticket and reply in the same conversation, so you can follow it from the Support page. Thank you for helping us get this right.
